Who Am I?
My name is Akita. I was born in Guyana and moved to U.S.A when I was 10 years old. And have had a rollercoaster of a life since then. While some might call me naive I wholeheartedly believe in love and believe that it is the cure for all life's problems. Hence, our name Agape.
While still discovering myself in University, I fell in love with the craft of Crochet during a time when I believed I had no talent. This craft helped me to better self-identify and develop confidence in who I am and what I had to offer to the world.
Agape is what some call spiritual love. It is an unconditional love, bigger than ourselves, a boundless compassion, an infinite empathy. It is what the Buddhists describe as “mettā” or “universal loving kindness.” It is the purest form of love that is free from desires and expectations and loves regardless of the flaws and shortcomings of others
